Humanities journals are:

• Not the problem for libraries (STM journals are)
• Like presses themselves, good for brand-name recognition
• Available to many authors per issue (vs. the monograph)

Electronic Humanities Journals are:

• Cheaper to produce than print journals (by up to 50%)
• More valuable than print journals, functionally speaking
• Perfectly suitable for peer-review, gatekeeping, legitimation
